“It was the genius of Muhammad, the spirit that he breathed into the Arabs through the soul of Islam that exalted them. The word 'Messiah' comes from the Arabic and Hebrew word 'masaha', which means to rub, to massage, to anoint. The religious significance is "the one who is anointed" - priests and kings were anointed in consecration to their offices. Messiah translated Christ does not mean God. Even the heathen Cyrus is called 'Christ' in the Bible. (Isaiah 45:1)
